What We Do
As accountants and business advisors in Salisbury and the surrounding area, we are able to offer the whole range of services you would expect from an established company of accountants and advisors. These are business start ups including company formations, valuations and acquisitions. Part time finance director support, involving regular management information and strategic planning. We feel that it is important to adapt our services to your requirements, and will do as little or as much as you require.
We have specialised in business start ups for the last 20 years and are widely recognised for the outstanding support we offer businesses in those early stages.
Recently launched is our New Dentist scheme, which offers help, support and financial advice to dental practices in the Wiltshire, Hampshire and Dorset areas.
We are popular not so much for what we do, that goes without saying, but how we do it! Our fun loving practice with a keen sense of humour always remembers that service and quality are at the core of our reputation – We never forget this!!

Business start-ups
One of our specialities lies in business start-ups, and we feel that here at Rawlence and Browne our staff have a wealth of experience in this field of accountancy.
We understand that the first steps new business owners take can often be into the unknown, and that being in business can be an incredibly rewarding, but at the same time a fairly lonely experience. The reality is that over one half of new businesses fail within the first three years of starting. We believe that businesses have a greater chance of succeeding if they are set up on a firm footing and we have always invested a great deal of our free time in ensuring this happens wherever possible.
We understand that the needs of our new business clients are different to those who have been with us for a number of years. Starting up in business can be a huge learning curve for many, and being there, giving instant responses to questions, problems and helping our clients through this period, is really important to us.
We can also provide help and advice in the following areas:
- Discussing the alternative vehicles through which the business can trade
- Start up tax planning advice to ensure our clients maximise their income and minimise their tax wherever possible.
- If appropriate forming Limited Companies ready to trade
- Help in setting up the most appropriate bookkeeping systems and providing training where required
- Completion of Income Tax, Corporation Tax, PAYE and VAT registration forms
Please contact us on 01722 411535 for a noncommittal discussion regarding any of the above.
